About Me
I'm a UI/UX Bootcamp graduate equipped with hands-on experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design. Currently an undergraduate student at UTSA with a passion for design, sports, gaming, and healthcare.
I'm proficient in industry-standard tools like Adobe XD and Figma, skilled in conducting usability testing and implementing feedback to optimize user experiences. My background as a lifeguard has given me valuable experience in emergency response, medical training, and helping people in critical situations - skills that directly translate to design work.
From Lifeguarding to Design: My lifeguarding experience taught me to anticipate user needs before problems arise, just like preventing accidents through proactive risk assessment. I learned to stay calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions - essential skills when iterating designs based on user feedback. The constant vigilance required for water safety mirrors the attention to detail needed in creating accessible, user-friendly interfaces.
Most importantly, lifeguarding reinforced my commitment to user safety and well-being, which now drives my passion for designing accessible, intuitive digital experiences - especially in healthcare applications where user experience can literally save lives.
My main clients include healthcare organizations seeking accessible digital solutions, students who need design work for their projects, and businesses looking for professional logo design and branding services.
